Thursday, May 17, 2012, 7:00 PM - This 2 part class workshop is for owners of Nikon DSLRs and dedicated hot shoe strobes looking to learn some more creative technique for on and off camera lighting effect. Part 1 is a class review of camera/flash functions in our class room; a week later the class will meet at a local spot TBA to practice indoor/outdoor technique on our model. |

Saturday, May 19, 2012, 10:00 AM - We'll review features and functions of these 2 models including exposure controls, accessory use, and menu functions - all while offering tips for better technique for portraits, landscapes, action, indoor and outdoor natural light and flash photography. |

Tuesday, May 29, 2012, 7:00 PM - Learn better technique for long exposures, composition, and night time flash fill to name a few. Participants should have a working knowledge of their camera and be able to adjust camera functions such as shutter, aperture, ISO and white balance. We'll meet at Milford Photo for review and demonstration then walk down to town hall for a shooting session. |

Thursday, May 31, 2012, 7:00 PM - We'll break out the constant burning floods and softboxes to practice single and multi light setups with and without filters and reflectors. Learn some key rules to basic studio setups for headshot photography. Posing technique, auto camera techniques (and some manual tips) will also be reviewed. Bring your camera ready to shoot as we'll have 2 or 3 different looks to practice with. A model will be provided. This class is kept small around 10 people so everyone gets a chance to shoot. |

Jess will plug in a camera and review functions and suggest shooting strategies for better shots for all kinds of subjects under different lighting conditions. Lenses and accessory use will be reviewed with an eye toward maximizing your camera's potential. A great way to learn your camera's abilities now that it's unwrapped. |

We'll set up at least 2 different shooting stations at Milford's picturesque duck pond. Bring your DSLR and tripod. |

Sunday, June 10, 2012, 10:00 AM - The 5th installment of our off-camera strobe workshops will take place outdoors at the CT Coastal Center on Milford Point. The site has beach access, shade and canopy settings for us to shoot against. As in the past, we'll have at least 2 styled models and 4 different rigs for all participants to shoot. Flash fill for outside shooting technique will be reviewed and the use of photo reflectors/gobys and diffusers will add to the fun. Part 1 is classroom instruction on settings and capabilities of the Canon 430ex and 580ex models. Part 2 is a hands-on live model shoot.
