Milford Photo is excited to host Dr. Jason Odell for a weekend of workshops and shooting September 10-12, 2010. Dr. Odell is a professional author and photographer working in the great state of Colorado and has lead groups of shooters in the field and instructed many in the use of Nikon’s Capture NX software. We’ve arraigned for 3 events while he’s here. Beginning Photography for D-SLRs
Tailored for the beginner, the object of the class is to give some easy rules to remember for improving your images in all types of conditions with any accessory, with special emphasis on shooting action, inside (and outside) flash tips, quick portrait techniques and great scenic advice.
Participants should have a digital camera with interchangeable lens. Average class size is 12-15.

For point and shoot digital camera owners. We’ll review menu functions, showing you which ones to use for just the right effect. And our instructor will share some tips he’s learned over the years that make any picture, taken with any camera, worthy of a place on your refrigerator.

Learning how to use your shoe mount accessory strobe.
No accessory is as useful as the shoe mount flash. Learn important techniques for indoor and outdoor flash. We’ll spend some time in the class room then outside the store for some experiment with flash fill.
Participants should have a D-SLR with accessory flash and a basic knowledge of their camera. 10 people max.

In one corner we have Bob Harrington and his off camera hot shoe studio flashes. Portable and convenient his light rig goes anywhere. But it can pack a punch to your wallet.
In the other corner is Jess Thompson and his multi-light AC studio strobes. They pack a powerful punch all day but don’t move as well.

While the group classes are great at exploring the techniques behind better images, the nuts and bolts (or menu’s and switches) of your camera might need special attention. We’ll hook your camera up to a monitor and review anything and everything on any camera.

Personalized Macintosh and Adobe Photo instruction
